Forced smiles and grey backdrops are not my style. I aim to capture the innocence of childhood, which comes in all forms-chocolate covered smiles, muddy knees and lost teeth. As your personal photographer I want to document what you know and love about your child. I specialise in fresh, creative children's portraiture. I do not believe I am the photographer for everyone, I am exclusive and selective and encourage you to be just as selective in who you choose to photographically capture your children. I work mainly on location, I find people are far more relaxed in the great outdoors than in a formal studio environment, where we are not bound by four walls but free to venture and discover. I will trail behind your child, camera in hand, ready to capture that fleeting moment.
I am based in North Yorkshire but am available to travel. I prefer to meet before the session, this way we can discuss at length your requirements. This isn't always possible but I find it helpful to meet the child first, that way both parties feel relaxed and ready for the shoot.
A session lasts between 1-3 hours, each session is fun and relaxed. I suggest your child wear whatever they feel comfortable in, but have a variety of outfits including bright colours and one simple outfit, a white shirt or dress for example.
Newborn sessions are best within 3 weeks of your new arrival (where possible). The best thing is to book your session while you are pregnant, provide me with your due date and call within the 3 week period of your baby arriving.
After the session each photograph is hand crafted individually and within 14 days will be viewable in a password protected online gallery.
